Over the past few years we have worked closely with Chester based Mortimer Design Ltd to develop a range of sites based around our own Content Management System - Tieba. In all cases, Mortimer Design have been responsible for creating the visual site designs and project-management, with ourselves performing all the programming and site assembly.
One of the first projects we developed together was a medium-sized website for a professional golfing holiday company where users could browse through destinations and put together a package of hotels / golf courses, and request a reservation. The client company were able to add and remove destinations/hotels/courses and upload photographs and details.
The largest project we've worked on together (and amongst the largest we've ever worked on) is a new Content Managed website for one of Cheshire and Wirral's largest colleges.
This new website, again based on Tieba, really shows off what it can do. The website is spread over hundreds of pages using numerous different and complex visual templates, with a whole team of editors updating the content and thousands of visitors daily.
The website feeds from a number of external databases to provide real-time course and class information, and now even handling fully automated on-line enrolment allowing students to select their course, complete the enrolment form and pay all online. The system then even sends them their timetable and welcome letter.
The website receives much praise and even won 2nd place in "UK College Website of the Year" awards for 2008!
